Job Description

* Contribute, to the culture of safety within the rents unit as well as Fabick by setting an example, taking ownership, and holding safety as the highest standard.
* Reviews customer requests for service to ascertain cause for service request, type of malfunction, and customer address.
* Implement and execute defined repeatable processes for responding to Rental service calls in time parameters determined by Caterpillar as well as Fabick Rents Leadership.
* Implement and execute defined repeatable processes that are accretive to both fleet efficiency as well as fleet quality per established Rent Ready Standards.
* Implement and execute damage identification and billing procedure per the expectations set forth by both Fabick Rents leadership and Caterpillar.
* Ability to forecast AMI and PM services as well as say in compliance with OSHA and ANSI regulations as they pertain to our fleet.
* Determines staff hours, number of personnel, and parts and equipment required for execution of rental service expectation, utilizing knowledge of product, typical malfunctions, and service procedures and practices.
* Motivate and hold accountable direct reports regarding Rental department standards and John Fabick Tractor expectations.
* Control cost as a percentage of revenue I.E. labor, parts, shop supplies, and rework.
* Monitor and manage warranty opportunity as a percentage of OEC in scope.
* Communicate and negotiate with tractor service facilities regarding major and outside repairs
* Prepares schedules for service personnel, assigns personnel to routes or to specific repair and maintenance work according to workers' knowledge, experience, and repair capabilities on specific types of products.
* Keep workorder and equipment statuses current as to contribute to true equipment availability for the sake of rental revenue generation.
* Maintain an organized an orderly work environment Office as well as Shops
* Requisitions replacement parts and supplies.
* Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
* Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
* Patrol and monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
* Investigate accidents and injuries and prepare reports of findings.
* Compile operational and personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results.
* Other duties as assigned

* Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related business field is preferred, but not required.
* Three to seven years of service experience is required.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other business software applications is required.
* Ability to work with a high level of autonomy with little supervision
* Ability to lead and implement process change to achieve predefined strategic goals
* Ability to take ownership and initiate change within scope of responsibility without being prompted
* The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality is required.
