The Data Analyst supports marketing data collection, evaluation and reporting across all marketing channels and develops data-driven opportunities for company growth to drive strategic marketing goals of the company by utilizing all available resources. This position is a mid-level, non-supervisory position that is responsible for a wide range of projects, across multiple Fabick Business Units, often simultaneously.

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports to the Director of Marketing, although at various times and on various projects may have additional stakeholders to whom they report, as necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Seek and provide information to help determine our position in the marketplace. Perform analysis of complex business issues and provide recommendations for possible solutions.
* Gather data on competitors and analyze prices, sales and method of marketing and distribution.
* Review and manage potential leads in the CRM system.
* Provide Market insights and leads to appropriate personnel to pursue the opportunity.
* Oversee, evaluate and recommend opportunities from lost sales reports.
* Participate in the development of sales and promotion strategies and programs.
* Capture, format and integrate customer and lead data from remote staff, vendors, and website traffic. Export lists to agencies and various vendor partners.
* Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
* Assist in the development of marketing metrics and measure effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies by tracking response rates and lead quality.
* Establish credibility with Caterpillar corporate through analytic reporting as the data liaison.

* BS Degree in Information Systems, Business Accounting or equivalent; 5 years of experience in a related field.
* Ability to build and maintain applications and programs that perform analysis, organize data and create reports from various sources including CRM, web analytics, and e-mail metrics.
* Knowledge of relational databases and the ability to create stored procedures.
* Ability to capture and document business and reporting requirements from multiple sources.
* Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
* Expert knowledge of Excel and relational databases
* Fluent in Power Query and VBA preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office is required
* Proficient in PowerBI a plus
* Fluent in SQL preferred
