Job Purpose:

The Production & Quoting Coordinator will serve a key role in the quoting, planning, scheduling, and execution of all manufacturing work at Fabick Mining. This includes both new and aftermarket parts, components, and OE machine production for Caterpillar, Caterpillar Global Mining ("CGM"), and other OEM customers. The position requires an in-depth knowledge and significant working experience with engineering and manufacturing operations, specifically; accurate quoting for raw materials and required service operations across the welding, machining, assembly, quality, and warehouse/shipping departments. They will also assist with the forecasting and management of all raw materials, parts, and sub-component inventories required to support manufacturing operations. This individual will have responsibility for all planning, scheduling, service, and quality control operations necessary to meet the requirements of our OE customers. Ensure that all parts and materials are properly accounted for and that all sales and work order costing is accurate.


* Perform a lead role in the quoting and estimating for all new and aftermarket manufacturing projects, including the pricing and sourcing of all raw materials, purchased parts & subcomponents, service operations, quality control, and logistics. Ensure all quotes and subsequent orders are accurate and meet or exceed the dimensional/features, quality, and delivery requirements of our customers.
* Lead planning and scheduling efforts for manufacturing operations as well as raw materials, parts, and components required for both new and aftermarket orders. Ensure that all necessary supplies are on-hand to facilitate the timely completion of work.
* Assist with the scheduling of quality inspections for all fabrications, assemblies, and key components as well as calibration of all critical tooling and gauges related to manufacturing and other service operations.
* Address shop quality and/or tolerance issues and implement corrective actions, repairs, and engineering changes as necessary. Embrace dealer best practices and shop management procedures.
* Develop, implement, and refine processes for improved cost tracking of consumable supplies and expensed items in the shop.
* Research, develop and plan internal and external parts production demands. Assist in creating standard jobs for all routine production orders.
* Coordinate shop through-put, work order costing, and materials scheduling to ensure timeliness and accurate costing of major repairs and rebuilds. Embrace dealer best practices and shop management procedures.
* 24/7 response to customer requirements for manufacturing, rebuild, and logistics services during scheduled and unscheduled breakdown situations.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and best practices.
* Any and all duties as assigned.

* Minimum High School graduate, College degree in mechanical, electrical, or mining engineering preferred.
* Minimum five years of experience in equipment rebuild, manufacturing, or machining operations required.
* Parts and Service operational administration experience is required in a same or similar industry.
* Excellent communication and customer relations skills required.
* The position requires thorough knowledge of burning, forming, welding, machining, and quality control operations. Experience with underground mining equipment and legacy Caterpillar brands preferred.
* An understanding of dealer service data systems required, with dealer parts and service operations experienced preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
* Hours of work may include evenings, nights and weekends. On call 24-7.

Special Physical Requirements:

In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities: climb up and down on mining equipment, lifting 30lbs or less, ability to visit customer operations as required to inspect equipment and components.
