Job Description



Responsibilities:


* Diagnose, inspect and remanufacture Aerial Rental Fleet. Performs all Scheduled Maintenance on Rental Equipment. Keeps up-to-date on condition of all equipment and is aware of when it will be necessary to perform required maintenance. Troubleshoots and repairs Fabick's fleet of rental equipment including aerial lifts, Caterpillar construction equipment and generators. Disassembles used machines when required. Estimates cost of repairs utilizing an inspection sheet. Must be able to read both hydraulic and electrical schematics and their symbols. Must have ability to use service and parts manuals and utilize the computer system.
* Performs inventory cycle and bin counts. Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing machines/product.
* Performs Physical Inspection on Rental Equipment. Visually inspects rental equipment prior to being sent out to customers and after each rental for damage. Ensures that equipment is in proper working condition.
* Conducts Field Service Work in a Timely Fashion. Responsible for conducting field service work on a timely basis. Utilizes all vendor Service Technicians when needed to complete a task. Insure field service truck is properly stocked and equipped. Maintain the service truck, inventory and equipment. Schedule pickup and delivery of used product when required.
* Performs Miscellaneous Duties as Assigned. Maintain serviceability and inventory of shop tools. Maintain facility and equipment cleanliness. Disassemble reusable hose couplings when needed. Assist at counter during peak times.




* Technical training of equipment required. Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
* Qualified candidates must have experience with building construction equipment repair as well as exposure to aerial lifts, small diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical equipment.
* The candidate must have basic computer skills. Be able to navigate a computer to open programs and type information into Caterpillar specific software.
* Must comply with all safety and company regulations.
* Maintains good work habits and presents a favorable business image towards customers served by the company.
* Candidates must be able to work some Saturday mornings.
