Job Description



Job Purpose:

This position will lead the technical training for Fabick and provide support to non-technical training. This position will have the lead role in develop training requirements and skill assessments for technicians for career advancement. This position will lead the training team as well as be a technical training instructor. This position will work with all divisions to create training requirements for technical and non-technical positions.

Responsibilities:


* Define the roles and responsibilities for the training department and training support staff.
* Manage the training staff.
* This position is responsible for the training and development of all Fabick technicians.
* Work with the Product Support Managers to develop training requirements for all technical positions.
* Work with other Fabick managers to define training goals for non-technical positions.
* This position is responsible for managing the training history of all Fabick employees.
* Define goals for training instructors and training staff.
* This position is responsible for developing and delivering technical training courses.
* Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical training career development plan for technicians.
* Work with the ThinkBig program at The Technical College of MO to recruit, select and train the ThinkBig interns.
* Coordinate the orientation program and Fabick requirements for the ThinkBig students.
* Create the training calendar/schedule based on training requirements submitted by the product support group and determined by the technical training program.
* Work with the FabTech program to maintain instructors' technical competence.
* Create NPI presentations as directed for distribution throughout the product support group to assistance in keeping the product support staff knowledgeable of new technologies.
* Create customer training courses as directed by the Training Development manager.
* Other duties as assigned

* High School diploma or GED is required.
* 5 - 7 years Fabick service or equivalent product support experience is required.


* Strong communication (written and oral) skills and decision making competencies are required.
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* 5 -- 7 years of technical training experience is required.


* Experience developing adult learning classes is required.
* Must be detail oriented, organized, professional, motivated and hold excellent time management skills
* Must be able to travel as necessary to fulfill the requirement of the position

In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds.
